I spent a lovely afternoon holding my cousin's new baby girl. I haven't spent much time with babies lately. Whenever we have parent/teacher conferences I try to snag the baby from the carriage or stroller for a cuddle. But lately, no one in my class has had a baby sibling for me to get my baby fix.
Thanks Aimee and baby Olivia for letting me get in touch with my grandmotherly side. Keeps me from annoying my own children.

I have determined that this small baby fix must be something that happens after you have one of your own. Don't get me wrong, I love babies and everything, but my friends who have had children seem to yearn for the tiny babies in a way that I just don't get. It might be that I'm worried the whole time I'm holding the baby that I'm doing something wrong. Also, my arm falls asleep pretty fast.
I'm envious you got to see my niece!
It was a fun visit! Thanks for coming out to my disaster of a house to see us. Sorry Zane was out of commission, but I think it gave us more air time. He loves the monkey blanket and the Magna Doodle. He made me draw pictures of all his favorite trains on it over and over and over (and over) again.
